In 1994 Roberta Webb Child Care Center, a non-profit agency, opened its door to meet the needs of the neighborhood families. RWCCC provides full-day child care and Pre-Kindergarten from 4 week old infants through age 5.
WHO WAS ROBERTA WEBB?
Roberta Webb was an African-American early childhood teacher. Her home was located just a few blocks from the current center. Many neighborhood children received child care and preschool in her home while she was also raising three daughters. To honor her faith and love for children, the Roberta Webb Child Care Center was named in her memory.
PURPOSE OF THE CENTER
Our aim is to enable each child to learn all he or she can, in every area of development: intellectually, physically, emotionally, and socially for school readiness and life-long learning. By providing child care, our goal is to enable self-sufficiency of the family.
BRIDGING THE GAP
Parent fees are based on a sliding fee scale according to family income. Therefore, Roberta Webb Child Care Center must financially find a way to "Bridge The Gap." By supporting RWCCC, you become an integral part of the mission to provide affordable, quality licensed childcare in a safe and nurturing environment. Our aim is to enable parents to be employed and productive in the work place with the knowledge that their child is in a safe and stimulating environment. No child is turned away due to lack of family funds. RWCCC welcomes your inquiries as to how you can help "Bridge The Gap."
